The call for abstracts for the 2023 AES Annual Meeting is open!

Submissions must be received by 12:00 PM (noon) PT on Thursday, June 8, 2023.

As the nation’s largest educational and scientific event for epilepsy professionals, the AES Annual Meeting is an ideal venue for clinicians and scientists to present research results to a global audience.

Authors will have the opportunity to present their research live in Orlando and upload an ePoster to the virtual poster gallery for attendees to view for up to 90 days after the meeting.

Deadlines and Fees

Abstracts submitted on or before Thursday, June 1 will be subject to a non-refundable processing fee of $50 for AES members and $75 for non-members. Abstracts will be accepted June 2 - June 8 for an increased processing fee of $100 for AES members and $150 for non-members.

The submission site will close Thursday, June 8 at 12:00 PM (noon) Pacific Time.

 

AES 2023 Presentations

Accepted abstracts will be assigned to one of the three days that the in-person poster hall is open. Author-present times are from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday and 12:00 - 1:45 PM on Monday.

Types of Presentations

Posters:  Posters are required to be hung in the poster hall for the entirety of the day assigned. The first/presenting author is required to commit to the author-present time (12:00 - 2:00 PM). 

Platform Presentations:  The presenting authors of abstracts selected for a platform presentation will be asked to give a ten-minute presentation followed by a five-minute Q&A session during Saturday afternoon and Monday afternoon platform sessions. Platform presentations are in addition to each presenter's assigned day in the poster hall. 

Pediatric Highlights:  The presenting authors of abstracts selected for a pediatric highlight presentation will be asked to give an eight-minute presentation on Monday afternoon during the Pediatric Highlights session. This presentation is in addition to each presenter's assigned day in the poster hall. 

Please note that first/presenting authors of all accepted abstracts are required to register for and attend the AES Annual Meeting. 

Presenting authors representing exhibiting companies are required to have a full meeting registration. Exhibit hall-only passes will not suffice.
